A microcurrent device sends a gentle electrical signal into the skin, which is associated with encouraging muscle contraction and is sometimes described as a 'workout' for facial muscles. The current is generally too low to feel as anything more than a slight tingling or buzzing sensation. Effects are widely described as temporary, typically lasting from a few hours up to a day or two, which is why regular, repeated sessions are central to how these devices are used rather than a single treatment.
Microcurrent devices are often chosen by people wanting a non-invasive way to address mild concerns about facial firmness or tone, and are generally used across normal to slightly dry skin comfortably.
